Universität Hamburg provides extensive funding options for activities, mobility, and projects with international partners. In August 2021, the University of Leeds and Universität Hamburg established a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their cooperation in research and teaching. The partner universities just launched their first joint funding program to help researchers at both institutions pursue joint projects and build networks.
Among the first to receive the funding are Dr. Seid Muhie Yimam from UHH and Dr. Serge Sharoff from UL with the joint project entitled "SAINT - Sentiment Analysis INTerpretability".
The selection committee of the University of Leeds and the Universität Hamburg found the proposal and the outlined project excellent and looking forward to supporting this collaboration.
The funding is convinced that this project has great potential in contributing to the strategic partnership between the University of Leeds and Universität Hamburg. This funding is intended to support academics at both institutions in identifying complementary research and teaching strengths and deepen project collaborations.
