ARDIAS: AI-Enhanced Research Project Management, Discovery and Advisory System

Successful Project Funding through the Ideas and Risk Fund
The University of Hamburg selected several projects to be funded through its Ideas and Risk Fund. The goal of the Ideas and Risk Fund was to provide fast and straightforward support for research initiatives that could lay the groundwork for securing larger third-party funding projects.
In this funding round, the postdoctoral researcher Dr. Seid Muhie Yimam was among the recipients. His project, "ARDIAS: AI-Enhanced Research Project Management, Discovery and Advisory System", was supported by the University of Hamburg within the framework of the Excellence Strategy.
Project Description:
With the growing demands of digitalization strategies and the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, the amount of knowledge that needed to be managed and retrieved within research projects increased dramatically. The research explored how the field of knowledge management could be enhanced through the application of advanced AI approaches, data science technologies and tools, as well as the rising demand for digitalization processes in management. A comprehensive AI-supported knowledge management and advisory system was designed, initially tested at the University of Hamburg and intended for future nationwide scaling.
