We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Katrin Schöning-Stierand and Fereidoun Rashidi as a research associate

About Katrin Schöning-Stierand

Since June 1, 2023, Dr. Katrin Schöning-Stierand works as a research assistant at HCDS.

Katrin Schöning-Stierand studied medicine and bioinformatics. During her doctorate, she dealt with the automatic generation of two-dimensional representations of molecular complexes. In national and international projects she worked for and with life scientists in the field of visualization, development and provision of scientific software. Her professional focus is on the development of digital solutions in scientific research.

At the HCDS Katrin Schöning-Stierand will deal with the expansion of cooperation structures in the field of natural sciences and medicine.

About Fereidoun Rashidi

Since April 17th, 2023, Fereidoun Rashidi has been actively serving as a Research Associate at HCDS. With more than 10 years of combined experience, he brings unparalleled expertise to our team.
He holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Teheran University. At his current position, he is playing a vital role in legal-project focused on utilizing advanced machine learning techniques to search for and identify various patterns within European and German legal documents, with a particular emphasis on the German language. This project aims to provide valuable insights and analysis in the field of law.
