GENIAL4KMUGenerative Information Retrieval Augmented solutions for unstructured data in small to medium size companies

We are pleased to announce the official launch of our GENIAL4KMU project.This project aims to develop an advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system that effectively makes structured and unstructured data sets usable in companies.

GENIAL4KMU leverages the latest advances in artificial intelligence, particularly large language models (LLMs), to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to process data accurately and contextually.

 This project is divided into two phases in collaboration with our business partner dida Datenschmiede GmbH. The first phase involves the development of concepts for structured data. This includes data in any form of table or database-like structure. The methodological focus is on the parameter-efficient fine-tuning of LLMs, followed by the development of a RAG system for processing structured data.

 In the second phase of the project, the system will be extended to unstructured company data, including further fine-tuning and integration into the RAG system.

The solutions developed will be continuously evaluated and transformed into demonstrators to ensure that they meet the highest standards and the needs of SMEs.

 In summary, GENIAL4KMU represents a significant step in the application of AI technologies to sustainably increase the efficiency and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
