New HCDS Members staffed

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lothar Hotzas as a research associate and Adeline Scharfenberg as a team assistant.
About Dr. Lothar Hotz
Lothar Hotz joined the first CDL ITMC-SAIL of the HCDS as a research associate on May 1, 2022. He brings long experience from the field of technology transfer especially for AI applications.
Lothar Hotz studied computer science at the RWTH Aachen and the University of Hamburg and received his doctorate. Since 1999, Lothar Hotz has been researching and developing computer science topics for, among others, the department of Computer Science and HITeC e.V. in EU and national projects with scientific and business partners. His main research interests are knowledge-based configuration, knowledge representation, constraints, machine learning, diagnosis, scene interpretation, qualitative simulation as well as OpenData and portals with cultural content.
At the CDL ITMC-SAIL, Lothar Hotz will continue to bring AI technologies into applications, especially for human-machine communication in the service sector.
About Adeline Scharfenberg
Adeline Scharfenberg is working as a team assistant at HCDS starting from May 1, 2022. She brings with her relevant professional experience in the areas of sales, assistance and organization.
After her studies at the University of Lueneburg, she worked for several years in sales and as an assistant for the management in medium-sized family businesses. She is looking forward to work in the field of research and teaching and is open to the new task.
At HCDS, Adeline Scharfenberg sees an opportunity to make her small personal contribution to science, to participate in the exciting and imaginative projects and to organize HCDS well from the very beginning.
