Successful project funding in the Ideas and Risk Fund

Every year, Universität Hamburg selects several projects that are funded with money from the Ideas and Risk Fund. The aim of the idea and risk fund is quick and uncomplicated funding of research projects that lay the foundations for the acquisition of larger third-party-funded projects.

This year, Dr. Seid Muhie Yimam is among the grantees. His project "ARDIAS: AI-Enhanced Research Project Management, Discovery and Advisory System" has been accepted after the assessment and is being funded by the UHH as part of the Excellence Strategy.

Short description
With the emerging need for digitalization strategies and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, the amount of knowledge that could be managed and sought in research projects is dramatically increasing. In this research, we will study how the knowledge management domain can be enhanced using the emergence of advanced AI approaches, data science technologies, and tools, as well as the demand for digitalization processes in research project management. It will also design all-inclusive AI-supported knowledge management and advisory system that could be first tested at Universit ̈at Hamburg and later be scaled nationwide.
