There will once again be a Service Systems Design and Management session at this year's WI2025 - International Conference on Information Systems. The renowned conference, which will take place in Nuremberg from 10 to 14 March 2025, is one of the most important international forums for research and practice in the field of information systems.
Together with Dr. Carina Benz (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters (University of the Bundeswehr Munich), Dr. Martin Semmann (HCDS) will be leading the track. Contributions focussing on the systematic development and management of modern service systems will be discussed in the community.
Services play a crucial role in both our personal and business lives. Emerging technologies—particularly generative AI, smart AR/VR services, and hybrid intelligence—are reshaping how services are designed and delivered.
This track explores cutting-edge developments in the following areas:
A particular focus is on the orchestration of complex service systems, which integrate multiple stakeholders, technologies, and value creation processes.
WI2025 invites researchers to submit their papers by March 14, 2025. The track welcomes:
⇒ Design-oriented research
⇒ Qualitative and quantitative empirical studies
⇒ Theoretical and conceptual contributions to service innovation
