The Hub of Computing and Data Science (HCDS) is pleased to announce that Martin Semmann, Managing Director of HCDS, is co-chairing a new minitrack at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) 2027.
The minitrack:
“Human AI Co-Creation of Realistic Media: Risk Mitigation, Opportunity Realization, and Digital Skills for Safe Interaction”
addresses one of the most pressing questions of the digital age: how can we design safe, transparent, and responsible interaction between humans and generative AI?
Today’s generative AI systems can create highly realistic text, speech, images, video, and immersive environments that are increasingly difficult to distinguish from human-created media.
While this opens exciting opportunities for creativity, education, training, and innovation, it also introduces major societal challenges, including misinformation, deepfakes, impersonation, and new demands for digital literacy.
The minitrack welcomes contributions on topics such as:
Accepted extended papers will be offered a fast-track submission opportunity for a special issue of AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction (THCI).
Submission deadline: 15 June 2026
Martin Semmann’s involvement reflects HCDS’s growing engagement in international conversations around responsible AI, human–computer interaction, and digital skills for future societies.
